Aesthetically Reading #5

What is Aesthetically Reading? It’s a new feature on my blog where I showcase photographs of books I own. Books are supposed to be aesthetically pleasing. You want a book you enjoy looking at when you aren’t immersed into the story. There are little things that make books special that aren’t inside the story, but that make up the physical copy. It could be the spine, dust jacket, art work, or anything that I think is worth sharing. I hope that this can help you decide whether you want to buy a copy of this book or not because it is definitely worth it. Note: I will be showcasing my ARC copies, which aren’t finished, but are still fun to show. I hope you enjoy this feature!

Today I'll be featuring my copy of:
Be Still My Vampire Heart by Kerrelyn Sparks
Published: March 2007
Publisher: Avon
Page Count: 372
Summary: One look at her was enough to stop his heart...

If it was still beating. Angus MacKay has been undead for almost five hundred years, and it's not often something, or someone, surprises him. Until Emma Wallace. The sight of this luscious agent from the CIA's elite Stake-Out team was enough to stop Angus in his tracks. But then he discovers that she's a vampire slayer, intent on killing the "monsters" who killed her parents. And it's Angus' job to stop her.

The only good vampire is a dead vampire. It's been Emma's motto since she committed her life to the destruction of these things. Now Angus MacKay wants to convince her differently. Sure, he's a sexy Highland warrior who seems to have stepped off the cover of a romance novel, complete with brogue, kilt, and sword, but he's also one of them. And it's her job to kill him.

The war is on, but will it end in the destruction of one or both of them...or in total surrender to a passion for the ages?

I really like the bat silhouette, but I'm not a huge fan of this cover all together. It's very shine and sleek which matches how fierce Emma looks.

Not a huge fan of the spine, but I really like how the eyes are in the outline of a bat. It's actually very striking on a shelf.

I'm sensing a bat and eye them with this book.

The cover page is typical bold print.

More bats! In all honesty, I really like the bats being on each chapter because it is always fun to turn the page and see a bat.

Should you buy a copy of Be Still My Vampire Heart?
I think that if you are a huge fan of this series (like me) then you should definitely buy a copy, but if you are just looking for a fun romance read the library is a great place to find this series!

Do you plan on buying a copy of Be Still My Vampire Heart? Have you read it? Let me know in the comments!:)
