Vampire Academy Movie Review!
My book review for Vampire Academy.
Vampire Academy is my all-time favorite book series. I can't imagine my life without having discovered a great series. I was so thrilled when I heard there was going to be a VA movie. Of course, I was also a little nervous. The trailers never made me doubt how great the movie could be, but I was nervous. I'm so happy to say that I loved the movie! It was brilliantly done. It was funny, action packed, and Dimitri was so fine! I was impressed with all the characters and the actors who played them did a phenomenal role. The opening was very cheesy and not the best part, but once you get to them trying to leave the apartment it is nothing but fun from there. I love the movie and I'm so thrilled with how it ended and was done. I liked the additions they made. The only cut out that bothered me was that Karp wasn't as prominent in the movie as the book, but I loved it nonetheless. Please go support VA and see it in theatres! I really want to Frostbite come to life and at the moment that seems unlikely. Don't miss up the opportunity to see Dimitri almost naked!

I went to the movies today and was dabating to watch this one because I haven't read the series (and not planning to). Glad you liked it. I hate when movies don't live up to the book.
ReplyDeleteYou should give this one a shot, Lecuts. Even if you haven't read the books. Movies can still be fun to watch! Thankfully this one didn't flop. Hallelujah!
DeleteI'm so glad you liked it and can not reiterate enough: people need to get out there and see this movie! There needs to be a sequel! I'm so sad about how it did in the box office because it really is a great movie, the marketing and trailers turned people away (including myself!)
ReplyDeleteI know! I was so shocked by how different the movie was from the trailers. They didn't do the movie or book justice! I'm glad you liked it, Alise. VA needs Frostbite to happen.
DeleteI really enjoyed it too! I'm never an opening day girl, but this is Vampire Academy! I think #2 will be amazing if we get a sequel. I hope so.
ReplyDeleteI hope so, Robyn! I'm glad you enjoyed it.:)
DeleteYay! I am so glad you loved it so much! Seeing your favorite series come to screen is always an amazing experience to take in. But sadly, the movie doesn't seem like something that interests me. The books didn't catch my attention, and neither has the movie. :/ Which is a sad disappointment considering you loved it so much.
ReplyDeleteGo see it, Delaney! PWEASE! You might love it. I know it looks contrived and silly, but trust me it is not.
DeleteYES! I'm such a die-hard VA fan and I've been hearing mixed reviews so I'm glad you enjoyed it! I can't wait to see it but we get it late in the UK :(. Hope you're enjoying The Fiery Heart btw! :D
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it when it reaches the UK, Tilly. I'm loving it so far.:)
DeleteBTW thanks so much for your AAWWESSOOMME recs. I can't wait to check out all the authors you have me!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy them and even if you don't we can still discuss because book discussions are fun discussions!:D
DeleteI'm going to go see this tomorrow! I am so excited!! The VA series is one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed it, Megan! Glad to meet another Va fan:)
DeleteI'm glad you enjoyed this one, Sarah! I've heard so many mixed reactions from fans - either they loved it or they hated it! - so I'll definitely have to check it out myself to see what I think. I'm not a huge VA fan, though, so I don't have huuuge expectations. Plus, I've forgotten so much of the plot that I doubt I'll notice if they skip or cut out scenes. Still, this seems fun! :)
ReplyDeleteYou must tell me what you think when and if you see it, Keertana. Hope you enjoy it! It was a very fun film.
