Hey, everyone!! My book buying scaled back during the summer, but then picked back up. I don't know. It was all over. I mainly received books from publishers, but I did buy a lot in July because I received some graduation money and I wanted to treat myself. So, let's dive into some books!
June BOOKS:
The Lightest Object in the Universe by Kimi Eisele- Scifi Post-Apocalyptic about two adults trying to survive the end of the world- one trying to get to her and the woman surviving in a community- as well as teen girl whose grandmother once to travel away from the community. Received from Algonquin Books (3 stars)
Home Before Dark by Riley Sager- Thriller Horror about a young woman who inherits the house that made her family famous for living in a haunted house- a book within a book within a book!! Received from Book of the Month June Pick (5 stars)

Isaiah's Daughter by Mesu Andrews- Christian Biblical Fiction about the prophet Isaiah's daughter and one of the Kings (Hezekiah) of Israel Received from the Mardel Bargain Book Section
A Light on the Hill by Connilyn Cossette- Christian Fiction about the Cities of Refuge (when someone accidentally kills someone of Jewish descent they are aloud to flew to a city of refuge and cannot return to their home or place of murder until the Jewish priest at the time passes away) Received from the Mardel Bargain Book Section
Shelter of the Most High by Connilyn Cossette- Christian Fiction about the Cities of Refuge Received from the Mardel Bargain Book Section
Jerusalem's Queen by Angela Hunt- Christian Fiction about the period of silence between the end of the Old Testament and before Jesus's ministry started (where the Gospels pick up) Received from the Mardel Bargain Book Section
Samson by Eric Wilson- Christian Biblical Fiction about the story of Samson (book of Judges) and it's based off of the movie Received from the Mardel Bargain Book Section (CR)
Delilah: Treacherous Beauty by Angela Hunt- Biblical Fiction from the perspectives of Delilah and Samson Received from the Mardel Bargain Book Section (CR)
Within These Lines by Stephanie Morrill- YA Historical Fiction about Japanese internment camps in America during WWII Received from the Mardel Bargain Book Section (CR)
Lilith's Brood by Octavia E. Butler- Scifi trilogy by the famous and beloved Butler and I can't wait to dive into this bind-up!!! Received from Amazon
Everyday Genesis: Inviting God to Re-Create You by Nika Maples- Christian Living I don't know much about this one, but I'm super intrigued by it Received from Ollie's Bargain Outlet
Fervent: A Woman's Battle Plan to Serious, Specific, and Strategic Prayer by Priscilla Shirer- Christian Nonfiction about prayer. I read this one as an audiobok and I absolutely loved it and I was so excited to find a copy for $2. Received from Ollie's Bargain Outlet (5 stars)
Final Girls by Riley Sager- Thriller about a group of girls who are the last victims to survive of serial killers (this is the only Sager book I've yet to read!) Received from Ollie's Bargain Outlet
My Cousin Rachel by Daphne Du Maurier- Gothic classic that I don't know much about, but I'm curious about Received from Ollie's Bargain Outlet
Please Remain Calm by Courtney Summers- This is the sequel to This Is Not a Test and I bought it right before finishing the book and dove in. It's a favorite and is worth the $1.99 for sure. Received from Amazon (5 stars)
Stand All the Way Up: Stories of Staying In It When You Want to Burn It All Down by Sophie Hudson- Christian Living about personal stories from the author Received from B&H Books

Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller- Classic play by the famous Miller who also wrote The Crucible Received from my sister
Anonymous by Alicia Britt Chole- Christian Living by an author and teacher that I love watching preach and have been honored to see live Received from my mom's friend
Why Is That in the Bible: The Most Perplexing Verses and Stories- and What They Teach Us by Eric J. Bargerhuff- Christian Nonfiction that looks at Biblical context and understanding for contemporary readers Received from Bethany House Publishers
The Space Between Worlds by Micaiah Johnson- Scifi LGBTQ+ space opera I don't know much about it. I saw it on BOTM and chose it because it sounded interesting and I had never heard of it before. Received Book of the Month Pick for August
Slaying the Giant of Fear: And Releasing the Roar of Breakthrough by Krissy Nelson- Christian Living that I'm totally hyped for and I can't wait to read Received from Chosen Books
Prophetic Secrets: Learning the Language of Heaven by Jennifer Eivaz- Christian Living about prophetic gifts; I read another book by Eivaz and I want to check out another book by her Received from Chosen Books
Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie- Cultural Fiction about Africa; I loved Adichie's essays, but this is my first time owning her work-excited to dive in. Received from one my friends
