Hey, everyone! 2020 has been a trying and difficult year. There has been a pandemic raging across the world and there have many points for reflection across the board not only individually, but also as a society whether that is with Black Lives Mattering (which I'm shocked it's taken so many to finally get there and there are sadly way too many people still not there), recognizing abuse in relationships trapped in quarantine, sex trafficking, and mental health. I know that for me 2020 has been a lot of reflecting, but if I'm being honest there have been large portions of me not wanting to reflect and choosing to distract myself with TV and movies instead. I have definitely used reading as a distraction during this time. My reading has skyrocketed more than it ever has before. As of December 21, I have read 242 books! That's wild to me and something I never thought I would. In 2019, I read 127. In 2018, I read 121. In 2017, I read 94 books. So, my reading has increased slowly over the last couple of years, but never to this extent. I'm blown away and there is still some time to read more books considering I have the 23-31st off. Let's reflect on my goals and TBRs as well as look ahead to 2021 and where I hope to continue to grow my reading.
