Series I Want to Read in 2020

Hey, everyone! Something that I've been trying to be consistently intentional about in the last couple of years is reading sequels. I love series, but I do this thing where I won't pick up the book I'm anticipating immediately because I hate disappointment. This year there are some series that I do want to try to make a priority. I don't have to finish the series, but I want to read at least one book from these series.

THE BOOKS:

Prophets & Kings Book 1 & 2 

I'm currently reading the final book, Isaiah's Legacy, and I'm loving it! I want to go back and read the previous books in the series. (They can be read as standalones.)

I'm currently reading this one, but I've been reading it for a while now. It's a goal of mine at this point.
Legacy of Orisha #2

Last year, I read Children of Blood and Bone, and now I want to continue on and see where Adeyemi goes next.
Binti #2 & 3

I love how short these books are, but I also enjoy Okorafor's ability to weave language and sci-fi together in a captivating settitng.

I have to know what happens next!
Earthseed #2

Parable of the Sower was one of my favorite reads set last year and I can't wait to follow Lauren's daughter and see what Butler created.
The Winner's Curse Trilogy #2 & 3

I have to get my life together and finish this series. It's been years.
Illuminae Files #2 & 3

I have to read this series! I own them all and now I'm just being petty by not finishing them.
The Conqueror's Saga #2
 
And I Darken was one of my favorite books of 2016 when it came out and here I am four years later with an unfinished trilogy.
The Hollow #2

I don't know if I want to finish this one, but I at least want to give it a shot and then leave this series behind.
Akata Witch #2

I thought I was going to get to this one last year and I didn't. Hopefully this year!
Crazy Rich Asians #2

I really enjoyed the first book and I want to continue, but I haven't been in the mood for it.
 Wayward Children #3, 4, & 5

I just started listening to Beneath the Sugar Sky today and now I want to finish / catch up on the series.
A Series of Unfortunate Events #3

I love reading these because they are short, so I want to get to it sometime this year. At least, read the next one, but if I read more then, yay!
The Chronicles of Narnia #3 (Publication Order)

I'm reading the series in publication order. It's been a hot minute since I read Prince Caspian and I want to return!
