Hey, everyone! I didn't create a book haul post last month because I didn't purchase a lot of books in the month of March. I thought it would be easier for me to combine the two months in this post. So here are the books that I bought over the last two months!
MARCH BOOKS:
The Mind of God: How His Wisdom Can Transform Our World by Bill Johnson- Christian nonfiction written by the lead pastor of Bethel Church Received: Physical Copy From Chosen Books
The Mountains Sing by Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai- Historical fiction that is based in Vietnam and follows two generations of women from the same family dealing with war and its affects Received: Physical Copy From Algonquin Books (4 stars)
The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James- Thriller with a paranormal twist that follows two timeliness at a haunted motel. One girl went missing from her shift and her niece is trying to find out what happened over thirty years ago. Received: Book of the Month backlist pick (5 stars)
APRIL BOOKS:
They Shall Expel Demons: What You Need to Know About Demons- Your Invisible Enemies by Derek Prince- Christian novel that focuses on deliverance and the aspect of the gospel that people are scared of (#JesusSaidCastOutDemonsInHisNameNotActLikeTheyDon'tExist) Received: Physical Copy from Chosen Books (4.5 stars)
Secrets of the Happy Soul: Experience the Deep Delight You Were Made For by Katie Orr- Christian Living about happiness (curious about this sense I believe happy is a fleeting emotion and has no grounding in reflecting our relationship with Christ because that would be joy) Received: Physical Copy from Bethany House Publishers
Stay: Discovering Grace, Freedom, and Wholeness Where You Never Imagined Looking by Anjuli Paschall- Christian Living about looking for God in things we forget to look for Him in #perfectquarantineread Received: Physical Copy from Bethany House Publisher
A Holy Pursuit: How the Gospel Frees Us to Follow and Lay Down Our Dreams by Dianne Jago- Christian Living about following dreams and surrendering them to Jesus Received: Physical Copy from B&H Books
Culture of Revival: A Revivalist Field Manual- Never Be Lacking in Zeal by Andy Byrd & Sean Feucht- Christian novel about revivalist movements this one was recommended by a friend Received: Bought Physical Copy on Amazon
Unpack Your Heart- 52-week workbook that was gifted to me by the college women's ministry I served at the last two years Received: Free Gift
Only 9 books in two months! That's a definite jump down in book buying!
