Adrian's Lost Chapter by Richelle Mead
Adrian's Lost Chapter by Richelle Mead
4 stars
I don't like Adrian in the time during VA and before he met Sydney and so it's no surprise that I'm not as madly in love with him in this POV than I will be when I read The Fiery Heart. I love Adrian and he has his faults. One of them being drinking and partying. It's one of the reasons why I never particularly liked him and plus he's so serious in his mind. I don't like it. I want funny joking Adrian and I know I won't get that in the aftermath of Rose's heartbreaking. Anyway, this isn't bad and I did enjoy it, but I'm not fangirling like I was when I got Dimitri's POV for The Meeting. I think it's a good idea that Richelle didn't do alternating POVs before the story started because it would've been too much.
If you want to read the chapter, you can read it here.

I agree, I like Adrian more now xD I'm not sure if I will ever get around to reading this one because of that very fact. You are so right, alternating POVs just wouldn't work.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to The Fiery Heart even though it's alternating POV, but for Bloodlines it just seems choppy. I love Adrian now and this made me remember the old him and it made me see how much he has truly changed and grown as a character.:)
DeleteI totally understand why you feel that way about Adrian. While I did love him in VA, I loved him even more in Bloodlines, because we get to see this side of him we hadn't seen much.
ReplyDeleteI know. His character is so different from in VA. I personally can't find a way not to love him. He's adorably hot.:D
DeleteI have no say because I haven't read the series but it'll be a terrible book if it is ever written in a POV of some character that you dislike. Hopefully the next in the series is much more to your taste. ^^
ReplyDeleteHappy reading, Sarah? How are you doing these days? :3
I love the series and I love the character. I just didn't like him at the point. It's two different series so it's hard to explain to a person who hasn't read them both how I feel.
DeleteI've been good, Delaney. I just haven't had time to post. :D Hope you're doing well!
I'm definitely going to read this sometime this weekend, if I can remember. Also, I nominated you for the Liebster Award! Check out my post for more info :)

Hope you enjoy it, Kelsey! Thank you for the nomination. I'm flattered.^_^ But I'm not accepting award nominations at this time because I'm so busy.
ReplyDeleteI've avoided this spin-off series, only because I love Adrian so much and know I won't be able to stand his heart-broken self in these books. Still, nice mini-review!(:
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly he isn't as heartbroken in the second book as he was in the first book and now I think he could care less about Rose. Thank you, Keertana! I hope you decide to pick the series up some day.:)
