Books I've Read in 2018 #41-44

Hey, everyone! I continue to be on brand by posting books that I read in the year before in a new year. I have so many videos to post for 2018 reads, so oops. But I'm talking about books I've read so it isn't a horrible thing to be behind in.

THE BOOKS:
20727654 35068432    34848682 34323570
The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg 3.25 stars Following someone who can use paper to create houses, dogs, and people is so fascinating. The character development was disappointing, but the world building has promise. I have hope that the series will get better and better. Check out my review here.
I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara 4.5 stars The audiobook for this is a good one, but I think I'll have to reread this one as a paper-copy to fully retain everything. There is so much information and it packs a punch. I think that this is going to be as acclaimed in the next ten to twenty years as Capote's In Cold Blood
The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn 4.25 stars This should've been a 3-star read because the audio while good was losing my attention fast, but then we hit Chapter 75 and this game changer captivated me. Finn has a lot of promise and if you like noir crime and slow-burn mystery/thrillers then this one is a treat.
Furyborn by Claire Legrand 4 stars This is a fantasy novel that I almost passed over, but I somehow felt called to request it on Netgalley and I'm so glad I did. Rielle's storyline was amazing and captivating. I could care less about the other girl. I can't wait for the sequel. Check out my review here.

Recommend the Most:
I'm going to go with I'll Be Gone in the Dark, but I have some highly rated books in this batch so you decide what interests you most and roll with that as my recommendation to you.
