Are any of these books in some of your niche tastes? Do you plan on picking up any of these books? If you have already read them what were your thoughts? Let me know down below in the comments!
I read Amanda Lovelace's debut and enjoyed it a lot because of the different lens Lovelace uses despite the weird format. I haven't read any of the others, though, since most aren't the types of books I want to read (or if I want to read them, I have to be in the mood).
ReplyDeleteI haven't read her debut yet! Poetry is definitely I have to be in the mood for, but I do also love Lovelace's format usage when it comes to looking at topics through perspectives like witches or mermaids or princesses.
DeleteI think you nailed Salt hahha. I liked it a little more than you I think, but YEP perfect description! I felt similarly about The Witch Doesn't Burn as you did too. I do LOVE dystopian, but I don't always love aliens in my dystopian, so I'll have to look at that one! This is a really fun way to showcase these books, love it!
ReplyDeleteSalt has a lot of great qualities and I'm happy to hear that it's a hit for you! I'm glad that I'm not the only one felt that way about the witch doesn't burn in this one! People love Lovelace so much, but I think she is good, but not amazing. Haha I definitely think this dystopian with aliens is a bit weird and I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. Thanks so much!
